ABOUT THE SCHOOL

African City of Refuge and Empowerment Foundation is a Non-Governmental, Non-Profit Organization focused on rehabilitation of persons affected by conflicts and working with key stakeholders to restore peace in areas affected by conflicts.

As part of the organization's quest for equal opportunities in the society, in the year 2020, it established a school to carter for the educational needs of fulani children, to complement the effort of Nomadic Education, Orphaned and Vulnerable Children-OVC, and children of parents affected by conflicts. This is Groom Them To Freedom Of Choice, Power To Decide And Reduce Crime And Conflict in The Future.

The school has a total capacity of 320 pupils from Nursery to Primary 3 attending school free of charge and at no cost, Text books, note books and other writing and teaching materials as well as uniforms are provided for the students at no cost.

The school has a total of 9 Teachers on full salary and one part-time teacher on voluntary support. The School has commenced plan to establish another unit in Kastina state, which currently under construction, the aimed of establishing another unit of the school in Kastina is in order to carter for the shelter and educational needs of victims of insurgency in Kastina, Zamfara and other states in the North West of Nigeria, affected by insurgency.
